Objective: To combine data from traditional point rain gauge, weather radars of different types and scale, numerical weather prediction models and flow measurements for use in urban hydrology.
Description: Local high resolution radar data will be combined with extensive low resolution data and used to make quantitative precipitation forecasts. The radar estimates will be fused with the short term rainfall forecasts from numerical weather prediction models. The weather models will also be used for 24 hour forecasts to predict anticipated volumes for the real time control strategies.
